Audacity

Pro Plus is an expansion of our Audacity Professional product. It allows for importing information into Audacity for use by the Author during the dictation process. Selected entries may be associated with the audio file to aide in post-processing the file. It is one reason that Audacity Professional is called an "Intelligent Dictation Tool".

Up to three different database files may be used. These files can be from any source such as a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application, a scheduling application, or an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) application. Typically, a subset of a large database is formatted and downloaded into your handheld on a regular basis. When the author is ready to dictate, the information aids the process.

The author can select an entry from a customer list, documentation list, procedure code list, etc. Select entries of the information can be included into the dictation file for post processing of the file.

I am a doctor and I pull up a patient list containing all of today's patients along with their demographics. The information includes an encounter number for the transcriptionist to file the transcript into the correct location. I can also pull up procedure codes that contain all of the elements of the common procedures that I cover. This keeps me on track so I don't overlook an item.

The database structure is very flexible and can be used for many different applications. It provides a method to take your information on the road. The professional of today needs his data at his fingertips. Audacity Pro Plus facilitates that process.
