Unzip
the downloaded software file.

Run the enclosed .exe file.

Follow
the on-screen prompts.

Accept
the default settings.

When
the setup program finishes, close the setup program.

Click
on the HotSync icon in the System Tray and select exit.

Click
on Start and locate and launch the HotSync Manager (usually
under All Programs, Palm)

HotSync
your PDA. This will install the software to the PDA.
- Launch
AudacityPro on the PDA. Open the menu and select Preferences.
Select the System tab and enter your Author Name.

Quick Start Guide and Manual can be found on your PC in C:\Program
Files\AST.
- On
your PC desktop you will see an icon for LAM, double-click this
to launch LAM
- LAM
will prompt you to enter an Author name, this must be the same
as you have defined on the PDA. The default Author Name is your
Palm User ID. Enter the Author name and save.
- Click
on Manage and select Registration Settings. This will display
the LAM Install ID. E-mail this ID to support@audacityaudio.com
and you will receive a registration code in return. When you receive
your code, enter it in the space provided.
To
see (or change) the location on your PC where the files are placed
during HotSync, click on the HotSync Manager Icon in the System
Tray, Select Custom, Select Audacity Files from the list and then
click Change. This opens the conduit configuration screen where
you will find the HotSync path.
Files
recorded in compressed format will be decompressed via the LAM
application (PC only).

the Palm Installer to install the .prc files to your PDA.

Copy
the Quick Start Guide and Manual to the location of your choice.
The
LAM program is not included as it will not run on the MAC platform.
Please
note that there is no conduit available for the MAC platform.
Consequently, files recorded in compressed mode will not be usable
except directly on the PDA. There are no CODEC's available to
decompress the file format on the MAC platform.
